Evaluation on presentation:
For the survey there could’ve been a larger sample of answers as we only had a few replies which overall did make the results less accurate than they should’ve been, however the from the research we collected it confirms the results and proves the answers given to have truth behind them. The survey was mainly taken off millennials as we found it more accessible for us but we were also able to get some other generations e.g. generation X to take the survey which gave us a different perspective to look at.
We were able to target and investigate the relevant groups, making sure everything related back to the hypothesis about subcultures as we ensured that the interview and the survey included questions related to the main topic which was sub-cultures. We included questions in our survey such as “do you think millennials are they’re own subculture?”, however in many ways this question does not work well as we can’t be sure that the audience  know exactly who millennials are or what a subculture is.
In my opinion, our secondary research was reliable as we were able to find the man who created the idea of subculture which gave us the exact information on subcultures and we was able to breakdown how they have changed over the years. We ensured that all of our sources were useful and that none of the information we used was filtered to fit the author or websites beliefs. The research we collected confirms the secondary research that we found, we tried to do our secondary research first so that is was our foundation and then we could build all the rest of the research i.e. primary around the secondary.
Our research provides evidence that our secondary research led us straight to our conclusion which is that millennials do not have a subculture. Nowadays subcultures don’t actually exist as we as a generations have grew out of the term, even Dick hebdige who created the theory of subcultures has confirmed this himself.

  1. Some explanation though not all question addressed. To fully show your understanding discuss improvements fully to explain how your changes will result in more VALID or RELIABLE data

Is there a balance of Quan and Qual? WHY is this desirable?

    Address the missing questions
    2. Have you targeted and investigated the relevant groups - subcultures, Millennials? HOW would you ensure you did?

    4. Were your questions specific or clear enough to explain or breakdown what a Subculture is in order to gather the right information

    5. How successfully did you cross reference your findings from your different sources, do they relate to each other and link or are they completely separate

    7. How well did you analyse the data you collected? Did you find any correlations or cause and effect in your findings?

    8. Does your research actually provide solid evidence of your conclusion?
